Is this weekend for me?
The riding will always be tailored to suit the group where possible but won’t be suitable for complete beginners. You’d want to be comfortable tackling trail centre Reds as a minimum, and happy to have go, or at least walk, more technical stuff.
Fitness-wise, we’ll be looking at biggish days – at least 5-6 hours – with plenty of ups and downs. But we wont be leaving anybody behind - up or down.
If you have any concerns about your ability or fitness, please get in touch
WEEKEND PRICE PER PERSON: £245

“Had a great weekend’s biking with Tom. He obviously knows the trails of North Wales very well, is a good guide and a lot of fun too. Will certainly bike with you again - preferably in kinder weather!!!”
Paul Collins, Wolverhampton
“A fantastic weekend of riding in some of Wales’ most spectacular scenery all done under the careful and playful eye of Tom Hutton. All in all, a brilliant, challenging weekend with a great guide in a spectacular area… 5 out of 5”
Nik Wadge, Gloucester
Typical Itinerary
Saturday:
Enjoy a big cooked breakfast - you’re going to need it - and head straight out of the door and into the forest, where we will hook up with the world famous Coed y Brenin trails away from the main trail centre. Well then mix and match the highlights of the waymarked trails as well as few hidden gems that aren’t so well known. There will be time to session odd sections, work on skills or any aspect of riding or biking that suits the group. We can also drop to the centre for a cuppa or a play at the Ffowndri if anyone fancies it. Then back to the cottage for tea and wonderful homemade cakes and hot showers. Saturday night is usually a highlight of the whole weekend with more tasty food and plenty of chat around the table about the day’s events.
Sunday:
Another hearty breakfast and then we load the trailer and the minibus for the drive down to Barmouth for a day in the wonderful Rhinogydd mountains, riding a true North Wales classic: Pont Scethin. Be prepared for two huge, but excellent climbs, and two absolutely superb descents, with some awesome views and a lot of great riding in between. There are a few different versions of the circuit so we can adjust what we actually ride to suit the group.
*Note: whenever possible, the routes we ride will be based on the group’s preferences and abilities although the weather on the day and trail conditions will also affect this.
